The Laws of Meridian
The legal code that keeps Meridian fair and livable
Every citizen is equal before the law. Read carefully before entering the city — violations may lead to warnings, fines, detention, or a ban.
- No breaking roleplay (break RP); stay in character at all times
- No combat logging (leaving the game during a tense situation)
- No metagaming (using out-of-game information in character)
- No powergaming (forcing unrealistic actions onto others)
- Respect value of life — treat your character's life as real
- Obey traffic lights and speed limits in residential areas
- Wear a helmet when riding a motorcycle
- No driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Must hold a valid driver's license and vehicle registration
- No undercutting the market; keep prices fair and stable
- No exploiting bugs to make money illegitimately
- No money laundering or illegal asset transfers between characters
- All income must come from legitimate in-game activities
- Businesses must register a valid license before operating
- Large transactions must go through a contract or the official market
- Pay taxes in full and on time per city regulations
- Treat employees and customers fairly; no deception
- Police must follow procedure and use force only when necessary
- Must read suspects their rights (Miranda) before arrest
- No abuse of power, corruption, or baseless arrests
- Respect citizens' rights and maintain professional conduct
- Medical staff (EMS) must treat all patients without discrimination
- Keep patient medical information confidential
- No abusing the medical role for personal gain
- Respect revival procedures and character death rules (PK/CK)
- All listings must be honest about item condition and price
- No fake listings, scams, or spam on the marketplace
- Completed deals must honor the agreement between buyer and seller
- No trading prohibited items outside permitted legal channels
- No exploiting bugs or server glitches for advantage
- No using cheats, hacks, or mod menus of any kind
- No spamming, toxicity, or insulting other players
- No real-life scamming between community members
- No buying or selling in-game money for real money unless the server permits
- Warning: applied for minor or first-time violations
- Fine: deducts character assets according to the severity
- Detention: restricts character activity for a set period
- Ban: temporary or permanent account suspension for serious violations
